Maria Ogneva - CEO / Founder

Maria Ogneva is a seasoned marketing and sales professional who is passionate about real estate investing.   When starting out as a real estate investor, Maria saw many opportunities for automation and web-based collaboration in real estate.  She has decided to found MeetMOJO to empower real estate investors: beginners and advanced investors alike, with the singular goal of making real estate investing flexible, transparent  and educational. Ms. Ogneva has significant experience in selling and marketing technology products as well as consumer products to a variety of audiences and consumers.

Stan Bernard - COO / Co-founder

Stan Bernard is a seasoned Real Estate investor with 12+ years of successful property ownership and management in New York State and the Caribbean. In 1995 he successfully partnered with two investors to form SAR Realty Corporation based in New York. Since his company’s inception, his business has grown to include 7 commercial lots, 12 rental properties, and over 15 acres of undeveloped land located in New York, Pennsylvania and the Caribbean. In 2004, Mr. Bernard and his partners acquired two 24 hour Laundromats, and a Unisex Salon which has added an additional 500K in annual gross profit to his growing portfolio. Mr. Bernard now manages a staff off 18 employees with room for expansion.

Our Story

We are real estate investors, landlords and technologists.  We know the issues that many investors and landlords face.  The need for well-organized information, online tools and trustworthy partnerships is more pronounced now than ever before. 

Availability of highly-discounted real estate inventory makes 2008 a great year to become an investor or expand your existing portfolio. Many of us consider investing around the United States, and many foreign nationals are now investing in the U.S. as well. We asked ourselves "Wouldn't it be great if we could go online and learn everything we could about investing in a particular area, and have the website analyze these investments for us?"  So we decided to dedicate ourselves to doing exactly that: pulling together information that pertains to investors and analyzing it online.

At the same time, real estate partnerships are more important than ever before, as the tightening of underwriting standards can make it more difficult for us to qualify for those mortgages on investment properties. We know that sometimes it's difficult to come up with the entire downpayment for that investment property. We looked for ways to find co-investors, and we didn't find any tools online that would be smart enough to recommend investment partners to us. Suppose you do put together a team to get that apartment building that you dreamed of...  Then what? We have to go find those properties, get advice from legal and tax professionals, and so on and so forth. What if you could do it all in one place?

So we put our heads together and came up with MeetMOJO – your online resource for all of your needs. MeetMOJO is not just another social network for real estate. Our proprietary mechanisms help you choose the right investment properties and the right partner(s).
